Hello I'm Aay - founder and creative behind Artemizelle. I’m drawn to thoughtful design, natural fabrics, travel, culture, cats, and the quiet joy of slow mornings.

Our Story

Artemizelle is a self-funded California-based women’s clothing brand focused on creating light, timeless designs that move with ease and quiet elegance.

Name Origin

The name Artemizelle is inspired by Artemis- the free spirited goddess of Greek mythology reflecting feminine independence, deep intuition, and understated strength.

Our Values

To us, clothing is more than something external- it is a form of inner expression. What we wear reflects how we feel, and often, how we wish to feel.

With a deep awareness of the fashion industry’s impact, Artemizelle is committed to conscious and ethical production. Our pieces are crafted in small batches by local boutique ateliers in Vietnam, where craftsmanship is respected and workers are treated fairly. We believe in traceability, intention, and care at every step.

Our Story

Artemizelle was born from a love for fabrics, fit, and simple yet enduring style—shaped by the evolving realities of modern life.

Founded by Aay, who spent nearly a decade working in the tech industry, the brand took form through lived experience. In her early years, time spent in a boarding school where uniforms were worn daily and personal style was limited - quietly shaped an appreciation for clothing chosen with intention.

In her early twenties, that instinct met a new challenge: balancing professional, office-appropriate clothing with pieces that still felt personal, feminine, and true outside of work. Building a functional yet expressive wardrobe without excess felt especially difficult while living in small rented spaces in Southern California before the pandemic.

Post-pandemic, as work became remote and travel became a way of life, the challenge evolved once again. Working across Europe, South America, and Asia, the focus shifted to clothing that was light, breathable, easy to carry, and versatile across climates pieces that occupied little space while remaining refined, intentional, and timeless.

Looking back, the philosophy behind Artemizelle traces to moments of both structure and freedom from uniforms to movement, from fixed closets to fluid living. These experiences continue to inform a quiet approach to dressing: thoughtful, restrained, and deeply considered.

Artemizelle is the result of these lived experiences garments crafted from natural fabrics, designed to move effortlessly between work and life, travel and stillness, supporting a modern and intentional way of living.

Between mountains, rugged terrain, and open space — Artemizelle is where I return to myself.
